I’d be curious to know how long that guy keeps his website once Eddie Bauer hears about it. It’ll be a shame, because it’s a good looking sight that he’s put some time into.

Robert,
he actually mentions that towards the end of the article, he said that he has had companies approach him in the past and he spins it as a fan site. Worse comes to worse, he can get a new domain and do a 301 and pass all his SEO juice to the new domain.

I saw that, but I just don’t see how any BigCo proactive enough to look into it would just let it go. (Don’t get me wrong, they didn’t get their own .org? Silly of them.) “What? Fan site? Oh, ok.”
He does have some interesting and informative things on that site, but the navigation is abysmal.
