After a few rocky months with the new EPN, my sites have come out of the woodwork and are making some decent money now. However, I still don't trust the EPN tracking system. I would actually prefer a connection to Amazon with phpBay. I totally love the script over BANS!!

Way to go on your increased earnings!

Glad to hear this is coming. I saw Wade mentioned it on the phpBay forums but there was no completion date. I haven't been banned yet but have held off on pumping out some new sites due to the recent bans.

I'm not sure why everyone is heading to Pepperjam - yes, they have eBay, but you have to be *approved* by eBay to get in. Duhhhhh!

Why would you not be subject to the same problems as those signing up directly with EPN/eBay??? Oh, yeah - I guess you would!

To me, this has been coming ever since Meg left eBay.

1) The new guy likes the fixed price model - he was bound to try to switch to it... classic new management mistake! (Think "New Coke" - and "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!")

2) Why dump CJ in favor of their own affil program?? To keep more money in-house, what else?? ]

3) The initial problems with accurate reporting - especially now that eBay controls that aspect of paying affils as well. Why?? Keep more money in-house.

4) Dropping affiliates who don't measure up to some obscure formula. Someone on the epn forum hit the nail on the head when he said that he(she??) thought it was because the sent traffic was traffic eBay *thought* they would get anyway - get rid of the affiliates. Keep more money in-house. (Getting to be a repetitive refrain, isn't it??) But this makes no sense - if they thought they'd get this traffic anyway, where the hell was it?? It sure wasn't on eBay looking for the product!

So, here's eBay's thinking. Our revenues are down. We need more money. So, let's charge the sellers more to list their items. Then we'll make them use PayPal, oh, and let's also get rid of all our salespeople. We don't need them - - their customers would come here, anyway - and we'll save the commissions!

Someone said that they thought eBay would be dead in 2009. Wouldn't surprise me in the least - they certainly seem to have a death wish!
