Introducing Auction2Post – New eBay (EPN) Wordpress Plugin

OK, so It’s been ages since my last post here. I’ve been pretty busy with a number of new ventures and unfortunately this blog has fallen off my radar. I hope to be posting more frequently in the future. But the reason for this post is to announce a phenomenal new EPN plugin for wordpress released by Robert @ zixby software (A.K.A “Radio” to you Wickedifre members).

First let me say that this is NOT the same thing as phpBay Pro. It is a totally different plugin with different features and can work great in tandem with phpBay Pro, or on it’s own.

Now, about Auction2Post

Let’s start off by talking about what the plugin does on a high level: A2P creates Wordpress posts (content) out of eBay listings and automatically ads them to your site. Please click on your items and get directed to eBay (cookie planted!) and you get commission when they buy ANYTHING on eBay over the next 7 days (plus you get a bonus if they are new members).

Ok, up until there it sounds a little close to phpBay Pro, right? Well, like i said earlier, it’s not.

phpBay Pro is a plugin they dynamically puts auction listings into a static wordpress post. A2P CREATES new posts out of individual auctions from eBay. This means you get actual content being created on your blog in the form of a new post. You can import any aspect of the eBay item directly to your blog (headline, subhead, images, description, and a whole lot more). You can also create customized templates for all of your posts.

Another very cool aspect of A2P is the fact that you can automate it. That’s right, just tell A2P your search criteria and it will automatically create new posts every day (or hour, if you want). So you can set it and forget it.

A2P is an extremely powerful plugin great for making classified sites. But you can get creative and make all kinds of money-earning sites. I already have a few ideas up my sleeve. All and all this is an amazing plugin that can be used in addition with phpBay Pro OR as it’s own plugin.

  1. Thanks for the heads-up. I always open your emails.

Now I hope my eBay arsenal is complete.

    Auction2post looks awesome.

I also just picked up Build-a-blog-store, which looks like it will be good with quite a bit of customizing.

I am still making a little with my BANS sites and I want to use phpBay in conjunction with Caffeinated Content, which I am loving.

  2. Have you actually tried this plugin out yourself? Curious to hear feedback from someone who has actually had a chance to use it.

  3. @Sam, yeah, i uploaded it to one of my phpBay Sites to test it and it’s pretty cool. Does everything it says and works great. I am working on a bigger project with it that should be up in a month or so..

  4. I just discovered your blog around 2 months ago and its great to see you posting some new stuff.

Btw do you offer some phpbay sites coaching? I’d be happy to pay for it.

  5. What program are you using on your golf ball site. Looks great.

  6. Glad to see you posting again!

I tried out A2P when it was in Beta, and I think the potential is huge. I have some big plans for some combo phpbay/A2P sites very soon. Just need to finish what I’ve already got on my plate at the moment.

  7. Sounds nice to convert auctions into posts but one thing comes to mind, the post is useless after the auction is over right?

  8. I have a2p installed on six sites and have the auctions set to be deleted after they expire (happens automatically via the plugin). Then in the member forum there is code to show relevant auctions on a 404 page – which is great. So the page is indexed until the next crawl from google (which can take a while) and now the 404 page is showing any traffic in that time targeted auctions. I have thousands of pages indexed in just over a month.
